Here is some interesting information about the luxury home sale market here in Charlotte, NC. I have been watching what is selling in the Charlotte are in the $1,000,000 price range and up and it seems to be the same areas--it's all about location. Homes sold for August 2009 in Charlotte from $1M and up were, 2 in Eastover, 2 in Cotswold, 3 Myers Park, 4 Foxcroft, 1 at The Harbour at the Pointe, 2 The Peninsula, 1 Chapel Cover and 2 that were not in a subdivision. That's a total of 17 homes sold for the month and that has been the average for the last months. Good news is this market is holding it's own. The first time home market is going crazy with one sale after another!
