Here are some interesting real estate statistics for the Charlotte, NC area. The homes selling in the upscale market seem to be picking up slightly, with 50 homes sold in the month of July in the $500,000 to $1,000,000 range versus 102 homes sold during the month of June this year. That is a 50% reduction from last month, but still we are selling and closing real estate business here in Charlotte, which is a good thing. The price point from $1,000,000 and up was also lower in July with 10 homes sold versus June we have 15 homes sold over the $1,000,000 range. The price range from under $500,000 in Charlotte, NC are the homes that are selling in large numbers--especially the $100,000 to $200,000 homes being sold and I believe that has to do with the $8,000 tax credit first time home buyers are receiving.
