Home Staging—First Impressions Count, Real Estate Agent, Broker and Home Stager.
When it comes time for you to sell your home, first impressions count. The more positive you can make that first impression, the more interest the buyer will have. As a seller, the goal is to sell your home quickly and for the best possible price, and the goal for the buyer is to find a property that you’d be proud to own and a place you can envision yourself living and calling home. The major objective of staging a home is to enhance the actual space of the home and hide any shortcomings along with showcasing any focal points that the home offers, thus resulting in a quick sale at the best price possible.
Some basic tips in staging your home is to first take any nick knacks smaller than a football and pack them away. All family photos should be taken down and if you must, leave just one of each family member. The walls should remain at least 70% free and painted with neutral colors. Also, if you have hardwood floors, roll up your throw carpets and pack them away, it will open up the room and display the hardwood floors. Walk through your home and take a look at each room and remember every room is an opportunity to impress the buyer. When you walk into a room you should not see the back of furniture and the room should bring attention to any features, such as fireplaces, built in bookcases, large windows or what you consider the focal point of the room. There are so many ways to enhance your home, but the way to get the best result is to have someone experienced in home staging help you out. I am a Home Stager and when I list a home here in Charlotte, I always offer my home staging services for free, making sure that my listings are at their optimum when being placed on the market.
It doesn’t matter if you are staging South Park NC Homes, Ballantyne Homes, Dilworth, Cotswold or any other desirable area in Charlotte, if you’re home is not staged you are not doing everything you can to make your home stand out from others on the market. Although the location of your property is key in selling your home, next it’s important that you do everything you can to arrange your home to show off all the focal points and making the most of the space.
Every home has potential, and you can show the beauty of a home with little effort with the right guidance. All it takes is some creativity, vision and a little elbow grease and a home can be transformed and ready for a quick and profitable sale. Remember, you never get a second chance to make a first impression!
